Burnley vs Arsenal

Burnley currently lie in 19th place and 7 points from safety. A 3-1 loss to Liverpool last week makes it 6 consecutive league games without a win. Arsenal on the other hand have recorded 4 straight league wins now including a 6-0 thrashing of West Ham last week. Burnley have the worst home record in the league with just 5 points accumulated in 12 matches. With a 100%-win rate in 2024 it’s hard to see past a comprehensive away win here.

Prediction – Arsenal -1.5 @1.91

Fulham vs Aston Villa

12th place Fulham have had a mixed season so far despite a comfortable 3-1 win over Bournemouth last weekend. Villa, although having an impressive season have lost 2 of their last 3 games and now lie in 5th place. Villa have a good record over Fulham, having won 4 of their last 5 meetings. Fulham’s last 2 games yielded 4 goals and Villa’s last 4 games had 3 or more goals and I expect to see more of the same in this one.

Prediction – Over 3.0 goals @2.06

Newcastle vs Bournemouth

13th place Bournemouth have failed to register a win since Boxing Day and have only accumulated 2 points in their last 5 games. Newcastle look to be getting their season back on track after accumulating 7 points in their last 9. The toon have recorded 4 wins in their last 6 games in all competitions with all of those wins being on the road. Bournemouth won the reverse fixture and with the Magpies failing to keep a clean sheet in their last 7 games I think Bournemouth will get something from this game.

Prediction – Bournemouth +0.5 @2.01

Nottingham Forest vs West Ham

The hosts sit in 16th place and are just 2 points clear of relegation. With just 1 point in their last 4 league games, they will be looking to bounce back. West Ham will have to put last weeks 6-0 loss to Arsenal behind them as they look for their first win since December 28. The goals have also dried up for the visitors with just 3 goals in their last 5. Both sides will be eager not to lose and get points on the board and a draw looks the best value here.

Prediction – Draw 1x2 @3.40

Tottenham vs Wolves

Wolves continue their inconsistent season with 2 wins, 2 losses and a draw in their last 5 league games and currently lie in 11th place. Spurs lie in 4th place and are now unbeaten in their last 5 league games. Spurs have not had the best record against Wolves recently, having lost 3 of their last 4 meetings. With Son back and the Spurs squad back to full strength I expect a comfortable home win here.

Prediction – Tottenham -1.25 @2.11

Man City vs Chelsea

Chelsea currently lie in 10th place and have failed to meet their expectations this season. They will be comforted by a 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace last weekend. Man City look to continue their impressive run of 11 straight wins in all competitions and a win here would put them on top should Liverpool fail to win. Despite the loss of Gvardiol for the next couple weeks City will have more than enough depth to compensate. The reverse fixture was an exciting 4-4 draw and there’s every chance of a goal fest again.

Prediction – Over 3.25 goals @1.95

Sunday 18 February

Sheffield Utd vs Brighton

If Sheffield United are to have any chance of staying up they must take advantage of fixtures like this. The hosts lie bottom of the league and 7 points from safety. A 3-1 victory last weekend over Luton is a step in the right direction. Having lost 2-1 to Spurs last time out, Brighton will be looking to bounce back. Despite the return of Mitoma from international duty Brighton look to be without Joao Pedro for the foreseeable future. With just 2 points in their last 6 away league games, I think Brighton will struggle here.

Prediction – Sheffield Utd +0.75 @2.11

Luton vs Man Utd

Last weekends late win over Aston Villa makes its 3 consecutive wins in all competitions for Man Utd. They currently lie in 6th place and are now 6 points off a top 4 spot. A 3-1 at home to bottom of the table Sheffield Utd has knocked the hosts out of their stride. Luke shaw is a doubt for Man Utd ahead of the trip while the Hatters aren’t believed to be carrying any fresh knocks at this stage. Although it is hard to trust Man Utd lately, but I fancy them to get a win in a game where both teams score.

Prediction – Man Utd win and Over 2.5 goals @2.4

Monday 19 February

Everton vs Crystal Palace

A win for the Toffees will likely drag them out of bottom 3 and will put Palace deeper into the relegation battle. Everton are without a win in 7 league games. It’s not much better for the Eagles who have recorded just two wins in 13 League matches. Palace

will be without their manager Roy Hodgson for this game due to illness. I expect this to be a low scoring affair, decided by the odd goal.

Prediction – Under 2.25 goals @2.02

Recommended Treble: Man Utd win and Over 2.5 goals @2.4, Tottenham -1.25 @2.11 @ Arsenal -1.5 @1.91
